My work has evolved over time and primarily falls in the experimental realm. I am a sucker for image and text relationships. I am inspired by the works of Lynda Barry, Cindy Sherman, Vivian Maier and Andy Goldsworthy. I am an observer of the natural world and appreciate the slow film movement. I am also a community-builder and youth mentor, so many of my projects revolve around interactive elements meant to engage young audiences, such as the creation of open-air labyrinths and other community-based art projects happening in Chicago.
The Story Funnel An open-air 5 circuit labyrinth with a "wishing pot" at it's center for community members to walk, reflect, and write down their thoughts during the pandemic of 2020 (East Garfield Park, Chicago IL)
Taste of Fulton Art Table Annual neighborhood block party and community gathering; art table: painting flower pots, drawing in affirmation journals, building towers out of cardboard, blowing bubbles, making paper cranes. Aug 2024 (East Garfield Park, Chicago IL)
